The city’s location offers a vantage point for breath-taking views of the twin peaks of Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru as they seat just below the clouds. Amazingly, Tanzania’s capital is referred to as ‘The Geneva of Africa’. ‘Karibu’ Arusha, Tanzania.


Would you start by wondering how this ‘Garden of Eden’ was formed or would you come to accept the fact that Ngorongoro crater is the largest intact caldera in the world? Serengeti is a land of endless plains comprising of grassland and woodland savanna. It’s a place with 100% guarantee the presence of the three members of the big cat family namely,  the lion, leopard and the cheetah. The park is also home to a million thousands of wildebeests, zebra and Thomson gazelles among others.

Lake Manyara

Then wind up with Lake Manyara, home for the blue-balled vervet monkeys, bush and waterbucks, leopards, baboons, buffaloes, hippos, giraffes and most of all, get to meet the loveliest anyone has ever seen, the tree-climbing lions as they lounge high up on the trees.

Day 1: Arusha – Karatu

Meet on arrival at Kilimanjaro international airport and transfer to Arusha for lunch (depending on arrival time). After lunch, drive through the Iraqw tribe farmlands to your lodge situated in Karatu just outside the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The crater covers over 300 square kilometers of land and is the home of the rare black rhino, prides of lion, elephant, cheetah and great herds of buffalo, antelope and wildebeest. Dinner and overnight at a Lodge in Karatu/Ngorongoro.

Day 2: Karatu – Ngorongoro Crater – Karatu

Today you will drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend over 600 meters to the floor of the crater for a day crater tour. Explore the forest areas that are inhabited by monkey and elephant, the lake area, where you may see the flamingos and the open savannah where the lions hunt for food. Picnic lunches will be served in the crater. Late afternoon drive back to your Lodge in Karatu/Ngorongoro for dinner and overnight

Day 3: Karatu – Serengeti

After breakfast drive to Oldupai Gorge, site of Louis and Mary Leakey’s renowned archaeological discoveries. Their findings include some of the man’s earliest known ancestral remains. Continue to Serengeti National Park in time for lunch.  This enormous park supports every variety of animal imaginable – from large predators such as lion, leopard and cheetah to the smaller herbivores they prey on. Afternoon game drive. Overnight at a lodge in Serengeti

Day 4: Serengeti

Today you spend the whole day on game drive in this National Park, which is rich with all different species of animals. To maximize game viewing you will carry a picnic lunch with you and spend the full day in the Serengeti National Park. Dinner and overnight at a lodge in Serengeti

Day 5: Serengeti – Manyara

Breakfast at your lodge. Drive to Lake Manyara, a soda lake lying in the Rift Valley.  Lunch at Kirurumu Lodge. In the afternoon game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, home of the tree-climbing lions.  Apart from the varied types of landscape including jungle, swamp and savanna, there are also a large variety of animals including Giraffe, Zebra, Elephant, Gazelle, hippos, monkeys and about 400 different species of birds. Dinner and overnight at your Lodge.

Day 6: Manyara – Arusha

After breakfast drive to Arusha and Lunch in a restaurant. Drop off at your Arusha accommodation.

Ngorongoro Farm House

The hotel has 52 chalet type rooms (49 are standard type rooms and 3 are suites) built in the style of the old colonial farms and decorated rustically with local materials and tasteful details. All of them are spacious and connected by pathways divided into three sectors. Facilities include mosquito nets, internal telephone, mineral water, free parking, 24 hour electricity and room service.


Serengeti Sopa Lodge

69 standard rooms, all with 2 queen size beds, carpeted, and tastefully furnished with local fabrics and pictures. One entering the room is a lounge with a mini bar. In the front is a veranda with 2 comfortable chairs and coffee table, with glass windows facing the vast Serengeti plains which extend as far as the naked eye can see.


Kirurumu Manyara Lodge

Kirurumu Manyara Lodge is set high on the edge of the Great Rift Valley, enjoying a marvellous, uplifting and panoramic view eastward over Lake Manyara, the Rift floor and Mt. Losimingori, the lodge has the following facilities: 27 tented rooms,  2 honeymoon suites and 2 family cottages, Fully ensuite bathrooms, hot and cold running water, electricity, bar complete with sun-deck and panoramic views of the rift valley and a dining room with waiter service
