Tuesday, Day 1: Nairobi ~ Samburu

Pick –up in Nairobi, Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or city Hotel in the morning. After a short pre-safari briefing, join your English speaking driver guide and drive to Samburu with lunch en route at the Trout Tree Restaurant. Continue further to Samburu Game Reserve, for an afternoon game-viewing drive on your way to your Lodge. Arrive in the evening in time for check-in and to freshen up for dinner at the Lodge.

Day 2,Wednesday: Samburu

Enjoy the full day in Samburu with morning and afternoon game viewing drives in the reserve. All meals will be at the Lodge.

Day 3, Thurdsday: Samburu ~ Aberdares

After breakfast, check – out and drive south to the Aberdare Mountains and to world famous The Ark Lodge. Lunch at the Aberdares Country Club Hotel, the base hotel and thereafter transfer to the The Ark Lodge, your spectacular viewing perch for the night, where the game is attracted by the waterholes and salt licks around the lodge (approx. 115 miles). Dinner at the Lodge.

Day 4, Friday: Aberdares ~ Lake Naivasha

Early morning tea at The Ark Lodge and transfer to the Aberdares Country Club Hotel for breakfast, collect your excess luggage and checkout. Thereafter drive via Thomson’s Falls with a brief photo-stop at the falls, to Lake Nakuru National Park for lunch at Lake Nakuru Lodge. In the afternoon set out for game viewing drive in the Park, home to not just the lesser flamingo but over 400 species of birds and one of the few places to see the endangered white rhino. Other wildlife at the park includes lions, leopards, zebra, gazelles, eland, giraffe and the hyrax. Later, in the evening continue to Lake Naivasha for check-in and in time to freshen up for dinner. (approx. 150 miles).

Day 5, Saturday: Lake Naivasha ~ Masai Mara

Breakfast at the Lodge. Thereafter check-out and drive to the Masai Mara Game Reserve, one of the most exciting game reserves in Kenya. You will arrive at the Keekorok Lodge in time for lunch. A brief time after lunch to relax at your own leisure before heading out for a spectacular afternoon game drive, with a good chance of seeing all the members of the “Big Five”- the elephant, the lion, the rhino, the buffalo and the leopard. You will be back in the lodge in time to freshen up for dinner

Day 6, Sunday: Masai Mara

This may be the last day of your safari, but it could be the most thrilling, for the vast Masai Mara plains provide the best game-viewing in Kenya. Serengeti and Mara are really one great reserve, covering over 6,000 square miles divided by the Kenya/ Tanzania border, and home to thousands of animals. Participate in morning and afternoon game viewing drives into the heart of the reserve – a fitting climax to an exciting safari. Or take the optional Balloon Safari. All meals will be at the Lodge.

Day 7, Monday: Masai Mara ~ Nairobi

Breakfast at the Lodge. Thereafter check-out and drive to Nairobi, arriving at around midday and transfer to your Hotel or to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your departure flight.

Samburu Intrepids

Samburu Intrepids is a lush oasis on the banks of the great Uaso Nyiro River in Samburu Game Reserve. The tented luxury camp is a delight to be in – deliciously cooled by the river breeze and the forest. It features newly renovated tents, with four-poster king size beds. It also features the best kids clubs in the region for cultural and wildlife edutainment

The Ark Lodge

The Ark has four viewing areas from which to observe the ever-present animal activity at the waterhole and saltlick. There is also a ground level hide – the perfect spot for the discerning photographer. From this vantage point, photos of animals can be taken at eye-level.

Accommodation is classified into 5 classic single cabins; 13 classic king cabins, 5 classic queen cabins, 21 classic twin cabins and 14 classic family cabins.

Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge

Set in 150 acres of grassland studded with Acacia bushes and trees, the resort is not only home to the resident giraffe, waterbuck and both Vervet and Colobus monkeys but also a night stop for the hippos that leave the lake every night to come out and trim the grass on the expansive lawns.

Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge features 21 cottages built in a crescent shape. Each cottage has 4 rooms; 2 on the ground and 2 at the top – totaling to 82 rooms. 2 rooms are suitable for the physically challenged and 6 out of the 21 cottages with inter-connecting rooms on the ground floor.

Mara Sopa Lodge

Mara Sopa Lodge has fifty guest cottages divided into 2 wings on either side of the main public areas. Each cottage houses two spacious guest rooms each equipped with queen and king-size beds, mosquito nets, electronic safes; dressing tables; en-suite bathrooms and sheltered verandas that all have spectacular views over the gardens and the game reserve beyond. Six out of the 50 cottages come equipped with two suites each with larger bedrooms and bathrooms, and both indoor and outdoor seating areas.
