The game reserve is renowned for its rare species of animals living in its wake. The elusive leopard, for instance, is often known to patrol the park, especially in the evenings.
Lake Nakuru is a must-visit for the passionate bird lover. The sanctuary plays host to many water birds. Most notably are the pelicans, herons and storks. Wildlife species prevalent in the park include warthogs, baboons rhinos, to name but a few.
A boat ride in Lake Naivasha is one sure bet for bird lovers, marine and wildlife enthusiasts to sate their appetites as they experience what they love most up-close and personal. Besides being a bird lover’s paradise, the lake is also renowned to host a healthy population of hippos. It is common to sight them lazing by the swampy areas of the lake.
The Masai Mara is regarded as the jewel of Kenya’s wildlife viewing areas. The annual wildebeest’s migration alone involves over 1.5 million animals arriving in July and departing in November. The park is also home to the big five game.
Arrive Nairobi at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Pass through customs and immigration for clearance. Afterwards, receive a warm welcome from our team followed by a transfer to your Nairobi City hotel to spend your evening and overnight there.
Breakfast and morning at leisure. Lunch at Safari Park Hotel. Afterwards, depart to the Aberdares / Mount Kenya region. Arrive late in the afternoon. Enjoy beautiful views of Mount Kenya (weather dependent). Dinner and overnight at your camp.
Breakfast at your lodge. Depart for Samburu. Enjoy a refreshing game drive in Samburu with picnic lunch whilst en-route. Animals commonly seen here are elephants, lions, cheetahs, Grevy’s zebras, giraffes e.t.c. Also, there are over 350 varieties of birds. These include the famous Somali Ostriches (distinguished by their unique purple/blue legs during mating season), kingfishers, humming birds, eagles, e.t.c
Arrive at your camp late in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at your camp.
Enjoy a morning and afternoon game drive in Samburu. All meals at your Lodge/Camp.
Breakfast at your Lodge/Camp. Departure to Nyahururu Falls for a photo-taking session and picnic lunches. Afterwards, continue to Lake Nakuru national park.
The park is a favourite for visitors as well as locals. The park is a designated rhino sanctuary making rhinos the main attraction. Both black and white Rhinos thrive here. It plays host to the Rothschild’s giraffe, waterbucks, baboons, e.t.e. The park also plays host to the greater and lesser flamingos, and, many other bird species such as the Great crested Grebe, the black necked Grebe and much more.
Enjoy a rewarding game drive on the way to your camp / lodge. Arrive later at your Lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast departure in direction Masai Mara with picnic lunches. Leaving the lakes area behind; begin your ascent up over the top of the Mau Escarpment. Then, heading due south, travel towards Narok, gateway to the Masai Mara. You’ll travel across the “breadbasket” of Kenya, covered with acres of wheat and barley, before reaching your destination at lunch time. After lunch, proceed for a game drive. Masai Mara is a magnificent landscape of open plains bisected by the Mara River and its tributaries, and punctuated by marshes and forests. Certainly the most frequented game reserve in Kenya. The 650 sq kilometer reserve supports the highest density of game to be seen anywhere in the world.
During the seasonal migrations, Masai Mara is home to up to a million wildebeest and an equally impressive number of zebras that move into the area from neighboring the Serengeti National Park, in Tanzania. The reserve is home to all the “big five”. It is also possible to observe baboon, eland, ostrich, bat-eared fox, jackal and cheetah. The rivers abound with hippos and crocodiles.
Visit of an authentic Maasai Village for cultural encounter. Arrival at your Lodge/Camp late in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at your camp
Wake up call. Early morning tea/coffee. Set out for an early morning game drive in the reserve. This is usually the most popular game viewing time. During the early hours temperatures are low, thus providing a favorable atmosphere both for the game and the viewer. Lion, Cheetah and Leopard roam the vast grasslands in search for their next meal. it may be an unsuspecting impala or even a small one like the warthog…whatever the players, and the spectacle of nature unfolding is always awe inspiring! Return to the lodge for breakfast. Mid-morning at leisure. Lunch at the lodge. Afternoon game drive will follow returning for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast drive to Nairobi. Drop off at your Nairobi City Hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your out bound flight in the evening.
