Did you know as from 25 April 2019, Ukunda Airstrip will be a thing of the past? Plans are underway to see Ukunda Airstrip in Kwale County renamed to Diani Airstrip in a bid to uplift the travel and tourism industry in the seaside resort town of Diani.

Whether Diani Beach, Kenya’s best beach has been voted time and again as Africa’s leading beach destination due to its unparalleled stunningly white-sands, the crystal-clear turquoise waters, lush green surroundings and not to mention its clean environment is true or not, the renaming of Ukunda Airstrip to Diani Airstrip will surely boost Diani not just as a destination but also help attract more international holidaymakers to the resort town.
