  1. Job Summary:

To successfully quote profitable tour products for existing as well as for new clients

 

  1. Key Responsibilities: 

Sales

  • Receive quote requests and cost products accurately and timely within 24 hours
  • Understand the market and margin control.
  • Build up and maintain agent/supplier relationships.
  • Develop own sales strategy to secure more business through existing and new agents.
  • Work closely with the team to achieve goals.
  • Knowledge and experience of Tour Plan System or GRANIT is a pre-requisite.

 

Operations

  • Quote and design successful, creative itineraries and proposals for all market related ADHOC groups, Tour Series and FIT requests.
  • Accurately capture all safari details on Tourplan and insert all services.
  • Confirm bookings in Tourplan.
  • Negotiate with suppliers for better rates, cancellation policies and FOC’s through P&P Department.
  • Propose new suppliers that offer a good service and better rates to P&P.
  • Follow up on quotes that have been sent out.
  • Successfully run groups/tour series / FIT booking.
  • Compile welcome packs itineraries.
  • Prepare guides’ documentation and brief guides before travel dates.
  • Work closely with tour guides whilst on tour.

  • Mature, strong personality, creative and with the ability to work with demanding markets and under pressure.
  • Ability to create strong working relationships with internal and external clients and suppliers.

  1. Job Summary:
  • Ensure that the master data of the organization complies with the ACID  (atomicity, consistency, integrity and durability) standards.

 

  1. Key Responsibilities:
  • Be responsible and accountable for integrity and quality of data personally created/updated.
  • Load, update and amend the database with master data, ensuring that all contracts’ content is captured, stored and up to date (suppliers, products, rates, policies, special offers and allocations, all supplier notes and hotel fact sheet).
  • Adhere to and implement company data management policies, procedures and standards pertaining to the management, security, maintenance, and use of the database management system.
  • Assist in the Development and management of the online product portfolios; Manage yielding and performance of online product portfolios i.e. select online product carefully that is easy to book, available and, with high margins.
  • Participate in the implementation of database design, integrating new technologies/initiatives into data standards and structures as approved to enable user-friendly systems by building Robust Data Management Systems to refine the logical model and make user-specific data models.
  • Help the users to easily understand the data formats e.g. Price codes, policies, rate status etc, provide essential guidance and satisfactory solutions on any complaints, queries and errors regarding the master data.
  • Ensure the most efficient timing for data loading and continuous improvement of content quality whilst automating the process and usage where possible.
  • Inter-train one another and on the job training for database staff.
  • Ensure stipulated turnaround time for all database enquiries and offer responses in regards to:

(a). New or revised rates to be responded and actioned within 16 hours (two concurrent working days) upon the receipt of the email/request.

(b). Queries or discrepancies regarding rates already entered into Tour plan within 8 hours of the same or the next day (1 working day) after the receipt of the same.

 

  1. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (Level of Education):
  • Diploma / Degree in any ICT / Tourism related fields.

 

(a). Specialized Training/Professional Qualifications:

  • Training on Tour plan
  • Certificate of good conduct

 

(b). Competencies/Abilities/Skills Required:

  • Hands on experience in dealing with day to day troubleshooting problems to ensure an error-free system.
  • Have in-depth knowledge regarding various techniques to protect and maintain the integrity of the data.
  • Should evolve with the new updates in the interest of the company and always keep abreast of the new updates in the competitive markets to maintain the security of the confidential records of the company.
  • Always keep engaged to devise new ways and means to provide better database performance and capacity.
  • Have a good organizational knowledge with an excellent logical and analytical ability.

  1. Key Responsibilities:

 

Marketing

  • Come up with weekly and monthly Resident packages for selling to the resident market.
  • Compile resident market content for the marketing team to put up on social media pages

 

Sales

  • Receive and convert quote requests.
  • Cost products in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Understand the Resident Market and margin control.
  • Build up and maintain agent / supplier relationships.
  • Develop own sales strategy to secure more business through the Resident Market.
  • Work closely with the E-Commerce team to achieve goals.

• Invoice handled MICE business as per company payment policy and ensure all payments due to the company are received on time
• Accompany and/or forerunning groups on the ground, and ensure all services booked are delivered as promised.
• Briefing/Debriefing customer services department/drivers before and after groups operations.
• Preparing all relevant information and documents for other departments in advance of group operations. This will include final itinerary, driver’s copies, rooming lists, detailed information sheet etc.
• Requesting for all internal services, transport, park fees, etc.
• Keep clear and accurate filing system for all proposals, confirmed groups, ongoing groups and other company documents that have to be accessible at all times.
• Be aware of the company’s emergency procedures in the event of client illness, accidents or any other problem.
• Support full implementation and maximum utilization of all company computer systems. (e.g. Tour Plan…)
• Ensure parameters of services are of high quality.

1. Job Summary:

  • To assist all company reservations and or on a real-time basis

 

Specific responsibility/day to day activities

  • All functions of Reservations while working closely with the Reservations Manager.
  • Checking room availability and holding the rooms provisionally.
  • Advising the Tour Consultants of the outcome.
  • Following up with the Tour Consultants on the progress of the bookings.
  • Keeping a record of the expiry dates of bookings to ensure they do not fall off.
  • At confirmation of a booking, making Tour Plan accommodation entries and sending out vouchers to secure space.
  • Gather all invoices and file them for perusal and payment.
  • Liaising with relevant departments to ensure delivery of excellent services and timely payments.
  • Provide reports when called upon to do so by the Reservations Manager.
  • Any other duties as directed by the Reservations Manager or a member to the senior management.
  • Tracks future room availabilities on the basis of reservations
  • Produce up to date information on room availability anytime it is required.
  • Communicate reservation information to the sales teams on a real-time basis.
  • Processes cancellations and modifications on a real-time basis and promptly relays this information to the sales team.
  • Perform any other duty as allocated with the management from time to time.

 

Minimum requirements
(E.g. education, experience, specific knowledge, skills, understanding, attitude)

  • University Degree/Diploma preferably in Tourism related courses
  • At least 3 years’ work experience in a similar position

 

Competencies/Abilities/Skills Required:
